7月20日、アメリカ分校MFWIから本学に派遣されていたティモシー・ディコ先生とイザベル・カプリ先生の送別会がキャンパス近くのレストラン、Ryu Ryuで行われました。ディコ先生、カプリ先生は、ともに1年間本学西宮キャンパスで教員を務め、来月アメリカに帰国します。

先生方は日本での1年を通し、本学について学び、アメリカ分校への留学やカリキュラムをより有機的に連動した内容にするために西宮キャンパスの教員とたくさんの議論を重ねてきました。帰国後は、アメリカと西宮をつなぐ役割を担います。

寂しくなりますが、海をはさんでも武庫女を盛り上げる気持ちはこれからも一つです。ディコ先生とカプリ先生は、後期2016年9月からアメリカ分校で、留学してくる武庫女学生を迎える立場に戻ります。

A farewell party for Timothy Diko and Isabelle Capri was held at Ryu Ryu, near campus, on July 20th. Both teachers, visiting from MWU’s American campus (Mukogawa Fort Wright Institute [MFWI]), have served one year in Nishinomiya. They are to return to the U.S. next month.

Throughout their time in the Department of English, Diko-sensei and Capri-sensei have actively participated in discussions to learn more about and improve our school, and on their return, they will be building bridges connecting MFWI and MWU.

Though Diko-sensei and Capri-sensei will be greatly missed in Nishinomiya, we look forward to working together with them, in spirit, in order to fulfill our shared goal of educating and empowering our students!
